Welcome to Howe Beer Project

Opening June 2025

Here at Howe Beer Project, we’re striving to create an inclusive and community-focused taproom, events space and microbrewery in the heart of Fife’s agricultural landscape. This isn’t just a place to enjoy a good pint, it’s about creating a gathering space to foster meaningful connections and conversations. We want everyone who walks in the door to feel at home, whether you’re a local or a visitor exploring the beauty of rural Fife.

Our Vision

  • Foggy landscape of the Howe of Fife with silhouetted trees and a bird in flight at sunrise.

    CELEBRATE THE HOWE

The Howe of Fife is the broad, agricultural lowland valley of the River Eden. For centuries, farmers have grown barley here, which was malted in the local villages. Brewing beer reconnects us with this rich history of the land in the Howe of Fife.

  • Indoor space with wooden benches, diagonal wooden paneling, a small potted plant, and a cornhole game board on a concrete floor.

    CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER

We’re creating a welcoming space for community and events. Within our social hall, you can grab a cosy seat by the fire, saddle up at the bar for a chat or play a round of bags in our indoor beer garden. As we get going, we’ll be hosting a range of events and will have space available for hire.

  • Bowl of dried hops, used in brewing beer, on a table.

    SUPPORT LOCAL

We believe that community is more than just the sum of its parts, so we want to create innovative partnerships that support the local economy. We’re always looking to collaborate with local producers, other local microbrewers, small businesses and community groups to bring creative ideas and events to life. If you have ideas, please reach out!

As with all good projects, this one started from a wild idea

Founding Membership

We want to foster a sense of ownership and belonging at the Howe Beer Project and make our community members feel more connected to the brewery. As such, we’re offering a limited number of founding memberships. These memberships are a one-time purchase with a lifetime of perks.
