Squirrel! Party
We’re kicking off our new Thursday opening hours to celebrate the release of our very first cans of Squirrel! 80 Shilling
We’ve named our 80/- ‘Squirrel!’ in celebration of Scotland’s native red squirrels. To support these wee rascals, 2% of every can sold will go towards the Fife Red Squirrel Group! In addition, 2% of all sales from the Squirrel! Party will also go to support the group and their efforts.
Key event times:
5:00 PM – Meet the Brewer + Squirrel 80/- tasting
7:00 PM – Red Squirrel Lecture + Q&A w/the Fife Red Squirrel Group
Our cans feature original linocut designs from Fife’s own Beth Robertson (@end.grain.prints)
Come along to chat beer, art and squirrels and raise some funds for the wee red rascals!
The Fife Red Squirrel Group aims to support the conservation of Red Squirrels across the Kingdom. The voluntary group was constituted in 2014 and focuses on monitoring, surveying and awareness raising. If you’re interested in joining, full membership is £5 per year, with money going towards events, materials, and insurance costs.
Board Games & Beers!
You might have seen the new Crokinole board in the taproom already, or maybe had a shot at the launch party in July. This 150-year old Canadian disk-flicking game is great fun and quick to learn (think somewhere between shove ha’penny and curling). We’re borrowing some extra boards for the afternoon (and some folks who’ll help us all learn how to play!), so come along and have a go!
If that’s not your thing, we always have other fun games to chose from, and you’re always welcome to bring in any of your own!
