The names, contact details (including address, telephone number, birthday and email address) of members;

The names and contact details of all those who wish to receive regular email updates from Howe Beer Project but who are not Members; and

The names and contact details of all those who have submitted enquiries via our website.


How we obtain personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you. We use the information that you have given us to contact you to discuss enquiries, provide member updates, and/or email updates and promotions.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the basis upon which we rely to lawfully process data is that we have a legitimate interest in doing so. It is necessary to process the data for that purpose and, in all the circumstances, HBP’s legitimate interest is not overridden by the Data Subjects interests, rights or freedoms particularly given that: (i) processing this data is necessary to complete transactions; (ii) there is limited privacy impact on the Data Subjects; (iii) the Data Subjects should reasonably expect HBP to use their data in this way and (iv) seeking consent would be unnecessarily bothersome to the Data Subjects


How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

For ‘Members’ and those requesting email updates, we will continue to retain the information we collect, unless otherwise requested. For other contacts and enquiries, we will retain information only as long as needed for the enquiry. We will then dispose of your information by deleting the records that contain that information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
