Science on Tap: 'Howe' to increase performance

The second in our 3 part speaker series with Dr Lesley Ingram-Sills and Dr Mykolas Kavaliauskas! This month, the topic is ‘Howe’ should you train: turning principles into practice.

More miles, more intervals, more recovery? Discover how to turn the science of endurance training into a plan that works, so that every hard session, easy day and long session has a purpose.

Dr Mykolas Kavaliauskas

Mykolas is a Lecturer in Sports Performance at the University of the West of Scotland. He channels his passion into sports science research and its practical applications rather than his own performance

Dr Lesley Ingram-Sills

Lesley is an Associate Professor at Edinburgh Napier University, a former World Cup cross-country MTB racer, endurance obsessive and cycling researcher. She loves bikes, getting people fitter, and talking about why training actually works. Despite regularly being spotted drinking beer at the Howe, it turns out she has a proper job — who knew?

This is the second in a three part series covering sports science! Join us on October 1st and December 3rd too!

Free entry, all are welcome - no sign up required!
